It is essential that the candidate is already in a placement and have at least 3 months continuous experience working a minimum of 12 hours per week before commencing on the programme and this will need to continue during the course. You will be required to demonstrate support of literacy, numeracy, ICT, and complete displays. Personal roles and responsibilities within the setting will be discussed in detail at interview.
- It is helpful if you are involved in observations in the setting and are able to use this experience to contribute to evaluation and future planning.
- You must have read the setting's Child Protection Policy and understand your role within this.
- A minimum Level 1 English is required.
- You will require skills to communicate with children at various stages in their development and with teachers, parents, carers and other professionals.
